Geothermics

The Choriner Höfe do not only win because of their architecture, location and functionality - they also have one of the most advanced methods for alternative energy: geothermal energy. Geothermics combines efficiency with the principle of sustainability and thus offers three advantages over conventional energy:

  • Significant reduction in the use of non-renewable energy.
  • Reduction of the associated carbon dioxide emissions.
  • Significant reduction in operating costs over conventional heating and cooling systems.

In concrete terms this means: Geothermics can ideally cover more than 70% of the yearly needed heating energy - and that with only renewable energy. The rest of the required energy is generated using a modern heat pump. Also here, the pollution can be reduced to almost zero, for example when the electric power is produced in a hydroelectric power plant. Given high energy costs it is also a long-term ecologically and economically profitable saving system, which guarantees a high standard for energy and comfort.
